Jamaica News, March 7, 2018 – Taxi Operator and 14-year-old Murdered                                                                                     

Kingston, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – The Kingston police say they are now in search of two men in connection with the double murder of a 14-year-old male student and a taxi operator on Saturday, March 3. The police also pointed out that they are unable to release any names at this time.

The victims have been identified as 14-year-old Damaine Hall, of Rhodney Pond and 44-year-old Richard Francis, Taxi operator of 2 Alexander Road, Kingston 13.

Reports are that shortly after 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, Francis was cleaning his grey Nissan Tida motor car outside his yard along Rhodney Road, when he was approached by two men.

The men brandished handguns and fired several shots hitting Francis to his upper body.

The gunmen were in the process of leaving the area when they came upon the 14-year-old student, who was fetching water from a nearby pipe.

Upon seeing the armed men, the boy turned and ran but the gunmen opened fire hitting him in the regions of his back. The gunmen made their escape in the area on foot.

Residents in the community summoned the police and upon arrival, the victims were transported to hospital where they were both pronounced dead.

Investigators say they believed that if they locate these two suspects, they can speedily put some closure to this latest double murder incident.
