Jamaica News, March 7, 2018 – Correction Officer Charged                                   

Kingston, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – A 48-year-old Correction Officer of a Kingston address is booked to face the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court on March 21, for Breaches of the Dangerous Drugs Act.

The accused has been identified as Denzil Williams, otherwise called “Wally” of a Melbourne Lane address, also in Kingston.

Reports by the Denham Town Police are that on Saturday, March 3,  Williams who is employed as a Correction Officer at the Horizon Remand Centre, was in the process of entering the cell block area when he was searched and found in possession of a quantity of substance believed to be tobacco.

He was taken into custody and brought to the locker room where his locker was searched.  This resulted in the discovery of a quantity of ganja in his locker.

He was arrested and subsequently charged.
