A JUTC bus fire in Spanish Town has left one company vehicle damaged after flames broke out while it was parked at a bus terminus in St Catherine on Thursday.
According to information received, the incident occurred earlier in the day when smoke and flames were reportedly seen coming from the rear section of the Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC) bus.
An eyewitness said the vehicle was stationary inside the terminus when the fire was detected. The blaze caused damage to the bus before the situation was brought under control.
No injuries were reported in connection with the incident.
The cause of the fire in Spanish Town has not yet been established, and efforts are expected to determine what triggered the blaze.
