JDF Soldier Dies in Early Morning Crash on Camp Road

Tragedy struck early Tuesday morning when a soldier from the Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) lost his life in a motor vehicle accident along Camp Road in Kingston.

The deceased has been identified as 23-year-old Everald Hendricks, a resident of Breadnut Walk in Ginger Hill, St Elizabeth.

According to police reports, Hendricks was driving in the vicinity of Bert’s Auto Parts around 12:30 a.m. when he apparently lost control of the vehicle, which then slammed into a fence. He sustained severe injuries and was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

Hendricks served in the Maritime, Air and Cyber Command (MACC) unit of the JDF. News of his passing has sparked an outpouring of grief on social media, with colleagues sharing heartfelt messages of condolence to his family and friends.
