Jamaica Crime News, St Catherine: Our news team has learnt that, a team attached to the JCF arm of the Inspectorate of Constabulary and members of the St Catherine South Police have now commenced a probe into the scrapping of a motor car, which was parked on a section of the Bridge Port Police Station compound earlier this year.

A police source confirmed that the vehicle which was involved in a motor vehicle accident in the Portmore area of St Catherine, some time ago, was left at the compound for safekeeping by the owner, with the consent of the authorities.

Recently, it was brought to the attention of the owner that the vehicle was being scrapped and a report was made at the station.  An investigation revealed that several parts were illegally removed from the vehicle.
