MONACOw — Three Jamaican national champions — Megan Tapper, Jordan Scott, and Nickisha Pryce — are set to represent the island at the 10th stop of the Wanda Diamond League Circuit in Monaco on Friday.
Olympic finalist Megan Tapper will line up in the women’s 100m hurdles, where she will face stiff competition from the American trio of Alia Armstrong, Olympic champion and world leader Masai Russell, and Grace Starc, along with Bahamian world indoor champion and record holder Devynne Charlton.
Nickisha Pryce is entered in the women’s 400m, taking on world number one and Olympic champion Marileidy Paulino of the Dominican Republic and Natalia Bukowiecka of Poland.
Meanwhile, Diamond League leader Jordan Scott will compete in the men’s triple jump, where he’ll battle with Andy Diaz of Italy, Fabrice Zango of Burkina Faso, and Max Heb of Germany.
Also listed to compete are Andrenette Knight in the women’s 400m hurdles, and Romaine Beckford and Raymond Richards in the men’s high jump.
The event promises exciting performances as Jamaica’s elite athletes take on the world stage.
