Jamaica Scorpions remain on course for playoff spot in WICB Super 50

Jamaica Scorpions recorded a 44 run win over the combined campuses and colleges team to continue their quest for a spot in the playoffs in the WICB Super/50 at the Kensington Oval in Barbados last night.

Andre McCarthy and Jermaine Blackwood both cracked 51 each as the scorpions batting first posted a modest 204.

Vickash Mohan bagged four wickets and Keon Harding collected two.

Captain Nikita miller then secured three wickets for 12 runs while Rovman Powell took two wickets as the CCC Marooners were dismissed for 160 in the 40th over.

Jamaican Cassius Burton top-scored with 27.

Meanwhile Barbados Pride completed a close two wicket win over the Guyana Jaguars.

The jaguars first posted 186 all out with Veersammy Permaul top-scoring with 32

Ryan nurse bagged 3 for 32 while Jason Holder and Royston chase took two wickets each.

At their turn to bat the Barbados Pride scrapped to victory at 188 for 8 with three balls remaining.

Shai Hope smashed a top-score 63 while Kevin Stoute cracked 51 as Floyd Reifer captured 4 for 46 for the Jaguars.
