Jamaica (McKoy’s News)- Jamaica Getting More Schools: Recent revisions have pointed out that Jamaica is in need of additional schools. The Ministry of Education has begun making plans to have five schools built throughout the island over a period of three years.
Of all the parishes identified as needing additional educational facilities St. Ann was seen as being most in need. The Education Minister Ruel Reid also pointed out that St. James is also in need of a School as he is working hard to eradicate the shift system in schools. He even noted that some schools are in dire need of infrastructural development in St. Catherine and other parishes.
The minister hopes to have a 100 percent placement of all students in full high school programs next year as they were able to accomplish a 99 percent placement this year.
