Milan, Italy (McKoy’s News) – Shocking reports out of Milan Tuesday morning as 29-year-old Italian model Pamela Genini was found dead on her own balcony after being savagely attacked — allegedly by her ex-boyfriend, 52-year-old Gianluca Soncin.
According to Italian newspaper Il Fatto Quotidiano, neighbors were jolted by desperate screams echoing from Genini’s apartment and tried to break in — but by the time police arrived, the scene was nothing short of horrific.
Reports say Pamela was stabbed 24 times — in the neck, back, arms, and hands — a frenzied assault that left her lifeless on the balcony floor. Officers say they discovered Soncin standing over her body, knife in hand.
When confronted, the suspect reportedly turned the blade on himself, stabbing his own neck twice in a failed suicide attempt. Police quickly subdued him, and he was rushed to hospital under guard. Soncin, according to prosecutors, has chosen to remain silent.
Investigators say Pamela was on the phone with another ex-boyfriend moments before the attack — and may have walked in to find Soncin already waiting inside her apartment. Authorities believe the accused gained entry using a copied set of keys, in what they now suspect was a premeditated act.
Born in Bergamo, Genini was described by friends as elegant, ambitious, and full of life. She had dated Soncin for only a few months, though their relationship was said to be in a “period of crisis.”
Prosecutors are now pressing for aggravating charges of premeditation and stalking, calling for Soncin to be remanded into custody as the investigation deepens.
The brutal slaying of Pamela Genini has sent shockwaves through Milan’s fashion and entertainment circles — another tragic reminder of the deadly consequences of obsession and control.
