Irwin wins U-12 football

Jamaica Sports News: Irwin Primary school was crowned champions of the Noel King sponsored under-12 school football competition, on Tuesday, November 27.

They defeated Corinaldi Avenue Primary 2-1. Corinaldi was made early favorites after their good showing in the preliminary rounds.

The finals were played at the Mount Salem football field in front of a large gathering.

Leading goal scorer Britney Gregory collects her trophy from Councillor Richard Vernon

Devon Rudie of Irwin primary was voted Most Outstanding Player. Other awards went to Britney Gregory Female Leading Goal corer from Corinaldi while on the other side Deonie Rudie was the Male Leading Goal Scorer with 17 goals including three hat tricks, and the Most Disciplined Team went to Somerton All Age.
