Decomposed Body of Missing American Woman Discovered in Shallow Grave in Hanover,Jamaica

Jamaica Crime News, Hanover: The decomposed body of a woman which is believed to be that of 72-year-old Nancy Hardy, an American National who went missing from her Jamaican residence in Negril, Westmoreland on November 24, was discovered in a shallow grave in Green Island, Hanover, on Tuesday afternoon.

Ms. Hardy who hails from Amherst in Massachusetts, in the United States of America, was reported missing from her home in  Phase-3, Whitehall, Negril on Saturday, November 24.

Reports by the Negril police are that about 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 24, a friend of the elderly American woman went to visit her at her Jamaican residence in Whitehall and discovered that she was missing.

A report was made to the police and a search carried out for her, which proved futile.

On Tuesday afternoon, a resident living in Green Island, Hanover, stumbled upon what appeared to be a shallow grave at a section of bushes and went to investigate.

The grave was discovered to contain the decomposed body of a female. The police who were later summoned, say based on investigations, they now believe that the body is that of the missing foreign national.

Hardy is of brown complexion, slim built and about 5ft-4ins tall.  At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing a multicolored T-shirt and black shorts.
