Jamaica Crime News, St Catherine: Two persons were taken into custody by the Caymanas Police, in St Catherine, following the seizure of an illegal firearm and several rounds of ammunition on Sunday, September 23.
The identities of the persons taken into custody are being withheld pending further investigations.
Reports by the Caymanas Police are that about 7:00 a.m., a team of officers carried out an operation at a section of Wallen Parkway.
During the operation, a house was searched and a 9mm semi-automatic pistol, loaded with 17 live rounds, was found concealed underneath a cupboard in the house.
The two occupants of the house were taken into custody.
