IGL Curry Goat Cricket Comes to Westmoreland on Sunday

Jamaica Sports News, Westmoreland: Following its successful return at the Manley Horne Park in Ballards Valley on April 19, the 2018 IGL Curry Goat Cricket series will be cooking up a storm at the Little London High School in Westmoreland this Sunday, July 22, starting at 11 a.m.

The 30-over a side game will feature a Westmoreland invitational team against the IGL Blue Flames, captained by former West Indies player Nehemiah Perry.

The invitees for the Dixieth Palmer led Westmoreland team are Leroy Dujon, Orville Higgins, Fitzroy Quest, Cleveland Davidson, Leroy Dumont, Leon Wright, Gavin Spence, Michael Salmon, Daran Lee, Recordo Gordon, Rohan Richards, Ezrick Colquhoun, Traver Gibson, Cenute Hewitt and Carl Murray.

The day’s activities will also include a Mix-up cricket match, involving 5 men and women on each team. This will be played in between the overs of the main match.

There will be bounce about, clowns and face painting for the kids, while spectators will get the opportunity to win prizes, in the special ‘Bowl fi Gas’ feature, where you throw the ball at the IGL cylinders and if you hit you win a cylinder of gas.

DJ contest, food eating contest and other activities, all designed to make the day a perfect outing for the entire family, will also be on offer, on Sunday at the little London high school, when the IGL Curry Goat Cricket series comes to Westmoreland.
