Jamaica News, Montego Bay: Several hundred mourners turned out on Sunday, May 20, at the Farm Heights Seventh Day Adventist Church in Montego Bay to bid Delbert Hilton farewell.

Hilton popularly called “Delly” was a fan of many citizens of Farm Heights and racehorse punters. For several decades Delbert worked for Track Price Plus Ltd in the Montego Bay region, where he rode his bike and dropped off race programs.

He died on April 23, in the Cornwall Regional Hospital after ailing for some time. His body was interred at the Hillview Memorial Gardens, Moore Park, St James. Many came out and gave tributes to a man that they highly respected. Among them were Member of Parliament for Central St James Heroy Clarke, former Member of Parliament for West Central St James, Patrick Rose Green, and Sadeka Elliott, a citizen from the Farm Heights community who have grown up with Delbert.

“Delbert was easy to get along with and he never disrespected anyone, he was always helpful to community members,” said one of the mourners at the church.
