St James, Jamaica (Mckoy’s News) – Holness Tours St James: the Prime Minister of Jamaica, the Hon Andrew Holness on Saturday met with a number of major stakeholders and other business operators in Montego Bay.
The meeting which was held at a resort in Rose Hall is said to have been in order to get Prime views on the effects and success coming from the State of emergency.
The Prime Minister was accompanied by Dr. Horace Chang, Minister Without Portfolio in the office of the Prime Minister.
Following the meeting, the Prime Minister toured section of the parish which has been placed under the State of Emergency, and areas which are considered to be hot spots, such as Flankers, Norwood and Salt Spring.
During the tour, the Prime Minister spoke to a number of residents in these communities, in a bid to get their views on the State of Emergency and the impact it has created on them and their living conditions.
Mr. Holness gave comforting words to a number of residents in Flankers, ensuring them that the State of Emergency is aimed at bringing good results to their living conditions and the crime situation.
