High School Student Hit Down by Taxi in Mandeville -Dead

Mandeville, Jamaica (McN) —  A 14-year-old High School student was on Friday hospitalised in critical condition after she was hit by a taxi, and has succumbed to injuries on Saturday.

Police reports are that  while on her way to school just after 7:30 am; a Victoria Dixon High School female student, Amelia Willis, 14-year-old was reportedly crossing the road  at the May Day and Manchester Road junction (below Northern Caribbean University).

On crossing when she was reportedly hit by an oncoming taxi.

She reportedly flew in the air and landed on a private motor vehicle going in the opposite direction.

Willis died while being treated at the Mandeville Regional Hospital where she was admitted yesterday.
