A 32-year-old higgler has been charged in connection with the fatal stabbing of an 18-year-old man who was stabbed to death during a confrontation along Naggo Town main road in Williamfield, Westmoreland, on Wednesday.
He has been identified as Johnoy Beckford and has been charged with the murder of Henry Spence, also of Naggo Town, in Williamfield, Westmoreland.
Reports by the Whithorne police indicate that around 8:00 pm, Henry and Beckford became involved in an argument in the community. The argument escalated into a physical confrontation, during which Beckford brandished a knife, inflicting several stab wounds to Henry’s upper body.
Beckford fled the scene, following which Henry was transported to the Savanna La Mar Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
A report was made to the police, and Beckford later turned himself over to the authorities on Friday. He was charged with murder on Saturday.
