The headless body of a man was discovered in a remote area of Trelawny on Monday.
The deceased has been identified as 27-year-old Tevin Wong of a Kingston address.
The gruesome discovery was made by residents, who found the body lying in a gully. The body was wrapped in plastic and bound in a bed sheet.
Wong, who had been reported missing the previous day after failing to return home, was last in contact with a friend on Sunday evening, December 8. His employer reported his disappearance, and police launched a search, which led to the discovery.
His vehicle, a 2012 white and burgundy sedan, was also located nearby with a different license plate, raising further suspicion.
Investigators are working to determine the circumstances surrounding Wong’s death, but the motive remains unclear. Authorities have not yet found his missing head, and the search continues.
