Hanover, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – Hanover Man Remanded into  Custody: Investigators in the parish of Hanover are reporting that the man who was charged with the murder of his own brother in the community of Haddington, Hanover on January 4th was remanded into custody when he appeared in the Hanover Parish Court in Lucea on Thursday.

The accused man Edward Crooks who hails from Kingston but was living at the same address at the time of the incident is presently facing charges committed against his 49-year-old brother Robert Winston Crooks.

The Sandy Bay police reported that on Thursday, January 4th about 10:30 p.m.,  Edward alerted them that he came home to a house which he shared with his brother in Haddington District and discovered his brother Robert in a pool of blood on the floor of the house.

The police went to the scene and investigations revealed that Robert died from multiple stab wounds to his upper body.  The accused brother pointed the police in the directions of his brother’s girlfriend and informed them that he overheard her in an argument with the deceased that morning.

The police acted swiftly and picked up the female and following several hours of interrogation they picked up a series of clues which implicated the brother and he was subsequently charged with murder.

The police also mentioned that up to date the accused man has not yet acquired the services of an Attorney at Law.
