Hanover, Jamaica – Detectives attached to the Lucea branch of the Centre for the Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse (CISOCA) have arrested and charged Lamey Thomas, otherwise called “Troy”, a 32-year-old farmer of Medley District in Hanover, in relation to an incident of Indecent Assault.
The incident reportedly occurred in the early hours of Sunday, August 3, at approximately 4:15 a.m.
According to police reports, a 16-year-old female was asleep in her bedroom when the accused allegedly extended his upper body through an open window, began rubbing her legs, and attempted to remove her shorts.
The teen reportedly awoke during the incident, realized what was happening, and quickly fled to her mother’s room. The accused is said to have fled the scene on a motorcycle he had parked nearby.
The matter was reported to the police and an investigation was launched. Thomas was subsequently taken into custody and formally charged.
His court date is currently being finalized.
