Haitian Women Arrested in St. Catherine for Illegal Entry, Remanded into Custody

St Catherine, Jamaica News: Haitian Women Arrested – Two female Haitian nationals who were arrested by the St. Catherine police on June 15 for illegal entry into the country were remanded into custody when they appeared before the St. Catherine Parish Court on Tuesday.

The two accused, 38-year-old Luca Vilmere and 37-year-old Dating Officiane, were ordered by Senior Parish Court Judge Yvette Wentworth-Miller to return to court this Friday, June 30.

Both women are being represented by Attorney-at-law Melanie Alleyne, who is expected to submit a bail application on Friday. Alleyne informed the court that they are both suitable candidates for bail and have proper sureties.

The women were arrested in Old Harbour on June 15 after arriving on the island illegally.
