Update: Gunmen Attack Lucea Family, Killing One Leaving One Injured



Hanover, Jamaica (Mckoy’s News)Gunmen Attack Lucea Family: The parish of Hanover is now being overcome by cold-blooded killers, who are now showering a reign of terror on the residents.

The Lucea policing area is fast been dominated by gunmen and just a day after a family of four was butchered in Mount Pleasant district, gunmen struck again this time in Malcolm Heights, where they murdered an elderly man in cold blood, shot and wounded an elderly woman and burnt down a house.

The latest victim has been identified as Joel Malcolm, otherwise called ” Jew Boy ” 71-year-old Butcher, while the injured woman is said to be a 63-year-old pensioner, both of Malcolm Heights district in Lucea.

Reports by the Lucea police are that, shortly after 7:20 pm both victims and two other family members were at home when they heard gunshots being fired in the neighboring yard.

Malcolm ran inside and locked the front door while the other three occupants ran and hid inside a room.

The gunmen then kicked open a back door to the house and entered the room. They sprayed the dwelling with bullets, hitting Johnson and the elderly female in the process.

They then went back outside to a neighboring house where they sprayed it with bullets and then set it on fire.

The owner of that house, a 33-year-old Mason, barely escaped with his life. Mckoy’s News also learned that, this is the second time that an attempt has been made on the life of the Mason and the second time since the start of the year, that his house has been burnt to the ground.

The gunmen made their escape in the area on foot, followed by which the Lucea police were summoned.

Upon arrival, Johnson and the wounded female were rushed to the Noel Holmes Hospital where he was pronounced dead and the female admitted in critical condition.

The other family members escaped unhurt.

A total of 37 persons have been murdered in Hanover since the start of 2017, and one of the victims who was buried just over two weeks ago is said to be the son of the victim in this recent shooting.
