Gunman Fatally Shot by Licensed Firearm Holder: A man who shot and injured another man with an illegal firearm in Irwin, St. James, on Sunday, was later fatally shot by a licensed firearm holder.
The deceased gunman has been identified as 22-year-old Brandon Campbell, of Pitfour community, also in St. James.
Reports indicate that around 5:15 pm, Campbell went to a section of Pegga Road in Irwin, where he shot and injured another man.
A licensed firearm holder who witnessed the incident confronted Campbell, resulting in Campbell sustaining gunshot wounds to his upper body.
The police were alerted, and upon arrival, they confiscated a Smith and Wesson 9mm pistol fitted with a magazine containing three live 9mm rounds from Campbell.
Both the gunman and his victim were transported to the hospital, where Campbell was pronounced dead, and the other injured man was treated and admitted in serious condition.
