Greenwich Town Sisters in Custody for Illegal Possession of Firearm and Ammunition

Detectives attached to the Hunts Bay Police charged two women following the seizure of a Smith and Wesson 9mm pistol along with three rounds of ammunition that was found in their house on East Avenue, Greenwich Town, Kingston 13 on Monday, June 29.

The women, 26-year-old Oshinell Taylor and 28-year-old Octavia Taylor, were charged with Illegal Possession of Firearm and Ammunition. Octavia was slapped with an additional charge of Assault at Common Law.

Reports are that about 8:45 p.m., Octavia allegedly brandished a firearm at her child’s father during a dispute and threatened him after he visited her home. The police were alerted and a search carried out at the house where both women reside, and the firearm found. Both women were arrested and charged. Their court dates are being finalised.
