St. James, Jamaica (Mckoy’s News) – the Mount Salem police in Montego Bay, St James are now carrying out full investigations into the shooting death of a man at John Crow Hotel in Green Pond community on Friday night, June 2.
The victim as been identified has Delano Sawyers, otherwise called”Donte,” 26-year-old unemployed of John Crow Hotel in Green Pond.
Reports by the police are that, about 7:15 pm on Friday Sawyers and other family members were inside their apartment at John Crow Hotel when three men armed with guns forced their way inside the house.
The gunmen opened fire hitting Sawyers to the upper body in clear view of his family.
The gunmen then escaped in the area on foot without harming and other family members.
The Mount Salem police was summoned and upon arrival the wounded man was rushed to the Cornwall Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
