The police have identified the man who was fatally shot on Monday morning in East Kingston as 30-year-old Marcus Godfrey, also known as “G Money.” Godfrey, a maintenance worker of Oliver Road, Kingston, was pronounced dead after the incident.
According to reports, at approximately 7:15 a.m., residents along Glasspole Avenue heard explosions and alerted the authorities. Upon arrival, law enforcement officers discovered Godfrey with multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to the Kingston Public Hospital, where he was officially pronounced dead.
The Elletson Road Criminal Investigation Branch has launched a probe into the incident.
