Funeral Home Operator Fatally Shot in Clarendon During Dispute

A funeral home operator, Sherwayne Williams, also known as ‘Baaba,’ was shot dead on Tuesday in Palmers Cross, Clarendon, following a dispute with another man.

The incident occurred around 10:45 a.m. when Williams, the owner of Rising Footprints Funeral Home, got into an argument that escalated into a physical altercation. The man’s licensed firearm reportedly discharged accidentally, striking Williams in the upper body. Williams was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Tributes have since poured in on social media, remembering Williams as a kindhearted and humble individual.
