Authorities have laid charges against four male students following the seizure of several weapons at a school along Gordon Town Road in Kingston earlier this week.
The accused, all between 14 and 16 years old, are facing charges of being armed with an offensive weapon. The incident occurred on Tuesday, April 21, prompting a police response after reports of a confrontation involving multiple students.
According to the Papine Police, officers were called to the institution where they intervened and brought the situation under control. During the operation, law enforcement personnel recovered three knives and a machete.
The teenagers were taken into custody and later formally charged after being interviewed in the presence of their parents.
They are scheduled to appear before the Kingston and St Andrew Family Court on Tuesday, May 19.
