St Andrew, Jamaica (McN) – Fire gutted the home of a family of four this morning April 11, in in the community of New Haven in St Andrew.
According to Sergeant Norris Munro of the Half Tree Fire Station the New Haven Fire is of unknown origin and the were not able to save the home.
“On arrival at the location, the house was fully engulfed in flames; we went into operation using one medium jet and called for a truck as there was no hydrant in the area.” he said, “However, the the structure was completely destroyed.”
The Jamaica Public Service Company was called contacted to disconnect electricity in the area to prevent further damage.
