Police have charged four men following the seizure of ammunition during a spot check operation on Main Street, Santa Cruz, St. Elizabeth.
The men are 27-year-old chef Horatio Thompson, also known as ‘Flex’ and ‘Muskeeno’ of Leith Hall, St. Thomas; 24-year-old Extor Beason, also known as ‘Daw’ and ‘Tweet’ of Old Pera, St. Thomas; Chandu Williams, also known as ‘Skull’ and ‘Andre’ of Leith Hall, St. Thomas; and Rento Gregory, also known as ‘Black’ and ‘Ren’, of Denham Town, Kingston 14. All four are charged with unauthorized possession of ammunition.
The incident occurred at approximately 12:05 a.m. on January 29th. Police on patrol spotted a 2010 grey Honda Stepwagon with the four men inside on Main Street. The driver, Horatio Thompson, was instructed to stop. During a search of the vehicle, a brown bag was found on the floor containing four live 9mm cartridges.
Thompson was additionally charged with breaches of the Road Traffic Act, as he was reportedly unable to produce a driver’s license or proof of insurance.
