KINGSTON, Jamaica — Former Miss Universe Jamaica contestant LaToya Malcolm has died.
The announcement was made on Saturday by the Miss Universe Jamaica organisation in a statement shared on its official platforms. No cause of death was disclosed.
Malcolm represented herself in the 2024 Miss Universe Jamaica competition, where she was recognised among the national pageant’s contestants.
Paying tribute, the organisation said it was “deeply saddened” by her passing.
“We are deeply saddened by the passing of Miss Universe Jamaica alumna LaToya Malcolm, who proudly competed in the 2024 Miss Universe Jamaica competition. Our heartfelt condolences are with her family, friends and loved ones. Rest peacefully, LaToya. You will never be forgotten.”
The pageant community and supporters have since expressed condolences to Malcolm’s family and loved ones as they mourn her passing.
