HANOVER, Jamaica — A Florida resident is in police custody following the fatal stabbing of his wife at an Airbnb property in Esher, Hanover, late Sunday night.
The couple, both Jamaica-born, had been visiting the island with their two-month-old baby when the tragic incident occurred.
Reports indicate that residents became alarmed after seeing the 36-year-old man walking along a roadway with the infant at approximately 2:00 a.m. on Monday. Their concerns prompted a call to the Hanover police.
When officers responded to the area, they discovered the body of the man’s 33-year-old wife at the Airbnb property.
The suspect was subsequently taken into custody as investigators launched a probe into the circumstances surrounding the killing.
Police have not released additional details about the incident, and investigations into the fatal stabbing at the Hanover Airbnb remain ongoing.
