Fish Vendor Shot in Westmoreland

Westmoreland, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – Fish Vendor Shot in Westmoreland: A 37-year-old fish vendor from New Market Oval in Savanna-la-mar, Westmoreland is among the latest persons to be shot and seriously wounded by gunmen in Savanna-la-mar.
Reports by the Savanna-la-mar police are that this latest victim is the fifth vendor to be shot in this town over a seven day period.

It is reported that at about  9:40  on Sunday night, November 12, the fish vendor was among a group of patrons sitting outside a pool bar at New Market Oval when three men, armed with guns came through a lane and fired several shots at the crowd.

Patrons were forced to run in various directions to save their lives,  and when the gunmen were gone, the fish vendor was seen lying on the ground in a pool of blood with gunshot wounds to his upper body.

Police attached to the Savana- la-  mar  Department were summoned, and upon their arrival, they transported the wounded man to the Savanna-la-mar hospital where he was admitted.
