Green Pond Student and Man Killed in Traffic Accident

St James, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – Green Pond Student and Man Killed in Traffic Accident: The St James Traffic police say they are still carrying out investigations of a motor vehicle accident,  which resulted in a  Green Pond High School student and a  man being killed on Monday morning. Another female student who was also injured in the accident still remains in hospital in serious condition.

Reports by the police are that at about 7:30 am on Monday, November 13, both students were walking to school, and the male victim was among several persons standing along a section of the Felicity main road in Glendevon. A female driver, who was driving on  the roadway, from
Glendevon towards downtown Montego Bay lost control of the vehicle, which slammed into the crowd and mowed down the two female students and the man.

All three victims sustained major head and body injuries and were rushed to the Cornwall Regional Hospital by other motorists,  where one student and the male victim died whilst been treated, and the other student  admitted in critical condition.

The female driver is now being questioned by the police.
