KINGSTON, Jamaica — Emergency crews are now on the scene of a major fire involving a Fesco gas truck that ignited along Spanish Town Road, near the Riverton City Dump, on Sunday afternoon.
The cause of the blaze is still unknown, but flames have since spread to the nearby McIntosh Bedding Company, causing extensive damage. Over six fire units have been deployed to battle the fire and contain its spread.
So far, no injuries have been reported.
The situation remains active as firefighters work urgently to bring the fire under control and prevent further structural or environmental damage in the industrial area.
Authorities are urging commuters to avoid the area and allow emergency teams full access to the scene.
