ST. CATHERINE, Jamaica — Police seized one firearm and three rounds of ammunition on the Gregory Park main road in St. Catherine on Saturday, September 7.
According to reports from the Caymanas Police, law enforcement officers acted on intelligence and conducted a search of the area at approximately 10:00 a.m. During the operation, officers discovered a Storm Ruger 9mm pistol with a magazine containing three .45 rounds of ammunition hidden in bushes along the roadside.
No arrests were made in connection with the discovery, but the police have launched an investigation into the matter. Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward as they continue their efforts to combat gun violence in the area.
