Luxury sports car manufacturer Ferrari has officially entered the electric vehicle market with the unveiling of its first fully electric model, a high-performance vehicle carrying a starting price of approximately US$640,000.
The new EV, called the Ferrari Luce, was recently introduced in Italy as the company moves toward expanding its presence in the growing global electric vehicle industry.
According to reports, the luxury electric car is designed as a four-door, five-seat model and is powered by four electric motors capable of producing more than 1,000 horsepower.

Ferrari says the vehicle can accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour in less than 2.5 seconds and reach a top speed of over 310 kilometres per hour.
The fully electric Ferrari is also reported to have a driving range exceeding 500 kilometres on a single charge.
Reports indicate that renowned former Apple designer Jony Ive collaborated on aspects of the vehicle’s design through his creative company, LoveFrom.
The unveiling has generated mixed reactions among car enthusiasts and industry observers, with some praising Ferrari’s transition into the EV market while others questioned the vehicle’s futuristic styling and departure from the brand’s traditional engine-powered identity.
Ferrari says the launch forms part of its long-term strategy to attract a new generation of luxury car buyers while maintaining the company’s reputation for performance and exclusivity.
Deliveries of the Ferrari Luce are expected to begin in late 2026.
