Female Tourist Found Hanging in Negril Police Station Bathroom

Westmoreland, Jamaica: Female Tourist Found Hanging – A female tourist committed suicide by hanging herself in a bathroom at the Negril police station in Negril, Westmoreland, on Tuesday.

She has been identified as 57-year-old Justine Templeman, a resident of both San Francisco, California, USA, and England.

Reports by the Negril police are that at about 6:00 a.m., a team of officers was alerted to a resort property in Negril where Templeman was reportedly behaving erratically while wandering on the compound.

The police arrived at the location and transported Templeman to the station, where she was placed to sit and wait for transportation to a medical facility in the area.

It is further reported that the female tourist informed the station guards that she needed to use the bathroom, and they directed her to the facility.

The officers became suspicious after Templeman did not return for some time, so they went to investigate and discovered that she had locked herself inside the bathroom.

The police forced the door open and found Templeman hanging from a bathroom sill by a piece of her clothing, which she had tied around her neck.

The scene was processed, and the body was removed to the morgue for a post-mortem examination.
