Montego Bay, St James – Police in St James have launched Operation Endgame, a new crime offensive aimed at dismantling a female-led robbery syndicate headed by a woman known only as “Toots.”
Senior Superintendent Eron Samuels says the group has been plaguing the parish, especially targeting Chinese businesses. “We’ll be pushing hard to bring the robberies down. Our efforts will be relentless,” he warned.
So far, police have arrested more than a dozen suspects, seized several firearms, and charged key players. Crime chief DSP Michael Moore confirmed that the crackdown has already brought relief to the business community.
Operations boss Superintendent Lynroy Edwards declared that the initiative, which runs into the new year, will “end badness and criminality in St James for good,” with strong support from the JDF.
Police data show murders down 58 percent and shootings cut in half compared to last year. Lawmen are urging citizens to keep working with them and “shub dem out” to drive criminals from communities.
