Female Accidentally Shot in St Andrew

Jamaica Crime News, St Andrew: The police in the parish of St Andrew say they have now commenced a probe into the shooting and wounding of an elderly female in Liguanea on Thursday morning.
The lawmen also stated that they are asking the public for their assistance to locate a motorist who is also said to be a licensed firearm holder, who reportedly fired several shots at a windscreen wiper and accidentally shot and injured the female.
Reports are that shortly after 8:00 a.m., the motorist was driving in the Liguanea area when the windscreen wipers attempted to clean his car glass. An argument developed between the motorist and the windscreen wiper, followed by which the motorist stepped out of his car and pulled a handgun.
It is further reported that the man fired two shots at the windscreen wiper who ran from the scene. The female who was walking from the directions of the Sovereign Centre was accidentally shot and injured by one of the stray bullets.
The wounded female was later rushed to hospital where she was treated.
