A second victim has died following a gun assault in Denham Town that claimed the life of a three-year-old boy over the weekend.
Police sources confirmed that 31-year-old Kerrio Pinnock succumbed to injuries he sustained during the incident, which unfolded at his home on Nelson Street in Kingston in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The attack also resulted in the death of his son, Zaylon Pinnock.
Preliminary reports indicate that shortly after 1:00 a.m., armed men reportedly approached the residence — which also operates as a business establishment — posing as customers. The assailants allegedly opened fire on occupants inside the premises.
When the gunfire ended, Kerrio Pinnock, his young son, and another child were discovered suffering from gunshot wounds. All three were rushed to hospital for treatment.
The toddler was pronounced dead upon arrival, while Pinnock and the other injured child were admitted for medical care. Authorities later confirmed that Pinnock died as a result of his injuries.
Investigations into the fatal shooting remain ongoing.
