The police in May Pen have charged a Clarendon man with the murder of his 34-year-old son. Desmond Savery, 66, also known as ‘Desi,’ of Donald Boulevard, is accused of fatally stabbing his son, Ryan Savery, a local plumber.
According to reports from the May Pen Police, the incident occurred on the night of Sunday, February 1, 2025. Witnesses say Desmond, allegedly intoxicated, was behaving boisterously along the roadway when his son intervened and escorted him home.
Once at their residence, an altercation ensued, during which Desmond allegedly grabbed a knife and stabbed Ryan multiple times, including in his upper body and knees. Ryan was rushed to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Authorities launched an investigation following the report, leading to Desmond Savery’s arrest. During questioning, he reportedly admitted to the crime and has since been formally charged.
Desmond Savery is expected to appear in court on Thursday, February 6, 2025, to face the charges against him.
