Portmore, St. Catherine – A 28-year-old farmer was fatally shot while sitting in his yard in the Hellshire area of Portmore, St. Catherine, last night.
The deceased has been identified as Andre Lewis of Blue Lagoon Drive in Hellshire.
According to police reports, the incident occurred at approximately 11:17 PM. Lewis was in his yard when he was attacked by a gunman who opened fire, hitting him.
Lewis was assisted to the Spanish Town Hospital for medical treatment, but was pronounced dead upon arrival.
The motive behind the killing has not yet been determined, and the Portmore Criminal Investigation Branch has launched an investigation into the matter.
