Ex-Police Officer Commits Suicide: Detectives from the May Pen branch are investigating the circumstances surrounding the apparent suicide of an ex-police officer, who allegedly hanged himself in his closet at his home in Longville Park, Clarendon, on Thursday.
The deceased has been identified as 41-year-old Daleon Butler, of Tulip Street in Longville Park, Clarendon.
Reports indicate that around 6:00 p.m., a relative went to check on Butler, who was reportedly suffering from a mental breakdown.
When Butler could not be located, a search of the house was conducted, and his body was discovered hanging inside his closet with a belt and a rack wrapped around his neck.
The police were summoned, and upon their arrival, the scene was processed and the body was removed to the morgue for a post-mortem examination.
