Montego Bay, St. James (McN) – Populat Local Raggae Entertainer “Jah Warrior” had to be admitted to the Cornwall Regional Hospital in serious condition after he was stabbed in the neck by two men in Montego Bay on Saturday night.
Reports reaching McKoy’s News are, that the entertainer who resides in Trelawney, works part time as a barber at the Oneness Plaza, located along Barnett Street, Monetgo Bay.
About 8:30 pm on Saturday, the entertainer had just finished cutting a customer’s hair and walked on the outside of the Barber Shop. He then went to a dark corner of the Plaza to urinate, when he was immediately attached from behind by two men. One of whom stabbed him in the neck and throat with a ratchet knife.
In order to save his own life, the entertainer grabbed hold of the knife, which resulted in sever cuts to his hand, but he still single handedly fought off his attackers.
The wounded entertainer raised an alarm and the men fled the scene on foot.
Other barbers at the shop transported the entertainer to the Cornwall Regional Hospital, where he was treated immediately and admitted in serious but stable condition.
The Police say robbery is believed to have been the motive behind the attack.
In the meanwhile several entertainers from across western Jamaica visited the location and have since been sending their sympathies to the entertainer and his family.
