Jamaica – The upscale residence of popular Dancehall entertainer Sheldon Lawrence, more popularly known as Aidonia, was raided early this morning by members of the St Andrew North Police Division, as part of a wider coordinated crackdown on alleged criminal elements.
Reports reaching McKoy’s News are that during the operation, lawmen carried out a thorough search of the entertainer’s home. No illegal items were found on the property.
However, our news team understands that two members of Aidonia’s inner circle who were present at the premises were taken into custody for questioning. Their identities have not yet been released.
Senior police sources confirmed that several other raids were conducted simultaneously across the division. Multiple men were detained and transported to the Constant Spring Police Station, where investigators are conducting interviews.
Up to press time, at least one individual has been charged under the Firearms Act, in connection with the morning’s operation.
The St Andrew North Police have described the move as part of a “strategic and targeted effort” to dismantle networks believed to be fueling criminal activity in the area.
Aidonia has not been named as a suspect, and police sources confirmed that he remains free as investigations continue.
