Westmoreland, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – Electrician Decomposed Body Found: The Westmoreland police are now awaiting a post mortem examination result as they have now commenced a full probe into the death of a man whose decomposed body was discovered in his bed on the morning of Wednesday, August 15, 2017.
The victim has been identified as 49-yr-old Andrew Bennett, Electrician of Bay Road in Little London, Westmoreland but was living alone in Grotto District in Sav-la-mar up to the time of his death.
Reports from the police are that Bennett, who was married, was last seen alive by his wife in mid-July. Several reports were made and searches carried out for him, but without success.
About 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, a resident of Grotto District in Sav-la-mar smelled a foul odor coming from the board dwelling house occupied by Bennett.
An alarm was made and community residents gained entry to the inside of the house and stumbled upon his body, lying on his bed in an advanced state of decomposition. The police was summoned and the scene processed.
The body was transported to hospital and pronounced dead. The investigators pointed out that based on several evidence foul play cannot be ruled out at this time.
