Dutch Woman Found Dead in Montego Bay, Suspected Rape and Murder

Montego Bay, Jamaica – Police have launched an investigation following the discovery of the partially decomposed body of a woman, known locally as “Pinky,” in the Train Line community of Montego Bay, St. James.

The woman, whose first name is Wanda and who is originally from the Netherlands, was reportedly last seen alive on Wednesday, September 18. Pinky had been residing in Jamaica and was a former employee of a popular hotel in St. James. She had made Jamaica her home for some time, living in the Train Line area.

On the morning of Wednesday, September 25, around 8:45 a.m., residents discovered Pinky’s body in a board house apartment. Her body was found lying on a bed, partially nude and without underwear, raising suspicions that she may have been sexually assaulted before being killed. A knife, believed to be the murder weapon, was also found at the scene with traces of what appeared to be blood.

Police were alerted and the crime scene processed for evidence. Authorities suspect that Pinky was raped and murdered, but no arrests have been made so far.

Residents of the community are shaken by the incident, and the police are urging anyone with information to come forward to assist with the investigation.
