Dumfries Man Gunned Down

St. James, Jamaica (McKoy’s News)- Dumfries Man Gunned Down: Investigations are now being carried out surrounding the shooting death of a man in the community of Dumfries in St James. The latest victim has been identified as 24-yr-old Omar Robinson, a plumber of Canaan District in Dumfries.

Reports are that on Saturday (September 16, 2017) about 1:30 a.m., the victim was at his home in Canaan district when he got a cellphone call and left in his motorcar for an undisclosed location in Dumfries. About 2:30 a.m. that same morning residents reported hearing loud explosions coming from a section of the Dumfries community and alerted the Adelphi police. On investigations, Robinson was seen lying along the roadway with multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body.

Since the beginning of this month, a total of 13 murders have been recorded throughout the parish. These murders have taken place mostly in the Cambridge, Montego Hills and Barnett Street policing areas.
