Portmore, St. Catherine: The St. Catherine police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man and a woman in Braeton, Portmore, yesterday afternoon.
The deceased have been identified as Anita Mills, a 35-year-old shopkeeper, and Demetri McKenzie, a 40-year-old labourer.
Reports indicate that around 4:45 p.m., both victims were at their home when they were attacked and shot by unknown assailants.
They were subsequently transported to the Spanish Town Hospital where they later succumbed to their injuries.
The motive for the shooting remains unknown, and investigations are ongoing.
